Fabulous venue. Excellent service. Delicious dishes - in particular the special Nowabder which was creamy and slightly sweet with lots of large pieces of chicken breast

On a visit from NZ and popped in for lunch and had an amazing meal. We were made so welcome by the friendly staff. We enjoyed a lamb biryani, chicken balti and prawn balti. The meat was so tender, it could be cut with a spoon! The staff were genuinely interested in our well-being and the food was extremely high-quality. Excellent authentic Indian cuisine. 10 out of 10.

One of the best Indian restaurants in Bath. I have been twice now and had positives experiences on both occasions. The restaurant is very impressive and unique in terms of its styling and the sheer size of it. It can get very, very busy, particularly when Bath rugby are playing at home. However, there were plenty of attentive staff during both of my visits. Drinks selection is some of the best I’ve seen at an Indian restaurant. The bar is absolutely huge. The food is very nice, as some other have mentioned, portion sizes are relatively small compared to other restaurants I’ve eaten at, but it’s perfectly acceptable. Staff are really nice. Toilets are clean, but like other have also mentioned, it would benefit from a refresh and some new carpet on the stairs which look really worn. All in all though, a really good experience and I recommend the Grand Eastern.
